Check engine light on 2000 rx300
I own a 2000 Lexus RX300.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.
Took it to MIDAS and they pulled codes P1135 & P1153...
codes don't match those in Haynes Repair Manual.
MIDAS said oxygen sensors to steer me in right direction, looking for some further insight as to see which ones.
Is there 1 or 2 oxygen sensors or more?
thanks for any insight...

One more thing about CEL and multiple codes.
If the CEL has been on for long, the codes accumulate. So at times it is better to reset the light and have the code read asap after the CEL lights up. Not a guarantee, but one bad thing can lead to another.

That is indeed what the 1135 is showing on the rear sensor, but that is easy to check with ohm or continuity check. If I remember correctly it's the 2 black wires. Salim is correct in clearing and then getting them read as soon as the CEL comes on again.

Thanks to all.....
i made a mistake the proper codes i have been given are P1153 & P1155 pertaining to oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1.
This is the sensor on the exhaust manifold, right? The one that is easily visible? RIGHT?
Just want to make sure....
What should the volts properly register on the sensor when I run a test?
Thanks all for help and further insight.

Yes you have the correct sensor, the easy one. Per this post you check with an ohm meter.

When mine went (under warranty) they replaced both at the same time. I guess they like to die in pairs.
