In your opinion`s, which engine do you believe is a better motor. The VVT-i or the non VVT-i, And why? (other than the fact that the VVT-i is an interference engine)

i dont know enough about it to be able to offer any input but i was curious to know what vvt-i stood for if anything and what it actually is in terms of what it does for/to the motor

variable valve timing, supposed to give you more power under all load conditions. The only downside of this version (that I know of) is it`s an interference engine, where as the non VVT-i is not. In simple terms,if the timing belt breaks on your Lexus (via the VVT-i) lets just say, your gonna stop dead in your tracks, and your not going ANYWHERE. , Oh,I forgot to mention that you will have ruined a very expensive motor,if this should happen.
