Need new comfy quiet tires.
Hi, I'm looking for new tires. My only preferences are being QUIET and COMFORTABLE. No snow here, no high speeds. I've read on the board that the Integrities are ****ty tires(which we have). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

The Goodyear Integrity tire is a cheaper, crappy tire, but it's the quiet and comfy one too Many people have gone to the Michelin Cross Terrains and have experienced a noticeable improvement in steering feel, and stiffer ride (due to the CrossTerrain's stiffer sidewall) but better handling.
Personally, I'm a big fan of Michelin tires. The Michelin LTX M/S is another good tire that would work well on the RX. The other OEM tire for the RX is the Bridgestone Dueler - owners like that tire better than the Goodyears. As for me, I still have the GY's, so I can't tell you for sure what I like - but if I were to change right now I would go with the CrossTerrains. Those tires are OEM equipments for the Acura MDX and GMC Envoy - if you want to catch a glace at the tires w/o going to the tire store.

GXS:
I switched to Michelin Cross Terrains at 1900 miles. Absent snow, you might want to go to Bridgestone Duelers which are also OEM tires on RX's. I would, however, suggest that you go one tire size larger (235/70x16) instead of the 225/70 and increase your load rating for a little extra safety.

Thanks guys. From other topics it seems that the Michelins are used alot. My preferences have changed, I'm now looking for the quietest tires(no high speeds, almost no rain, no snow). Any suggestions? Thanks.

Your best bet may just be the GY Integrity tires... They're really more a passenger vehicle car tire and not really intended for any off-roading. I can say that between my Bridgestone Duelers on one RX and Integritys on the other, the Integritys - no matter had badly regarded - seem more quiet a ride. Good luck.

tires/quiet
I switched to Michelin XCs when I went to 17X8 wheels and it was my impression these were quieter than OEM. Don't know if you can get them for the RX but Brdgestaone Turanzas have been my choice for quiet on the LS.
