Hello,

Does anyone know how much a wood trimmed steering wheel would go for if I wanted to get it and install it on a '99 RX?

I like the new look compared to the gray pleather/plastic one I have now.

What about the shift ****?

When I checked last 12/2000, the price to install a wood steering was about $1500-2500. That was a price quoted by Southern CA dealers.

In order to get the steering wheel from the '01 RX on the '99 or '00 RX it will be necessary to put a new airbag too b/c they shape was changed slightly. This makes it a costly project. I am very interested in a wood/leather steering wheel myself and am looking into http://www.creativecarconcepts.com

Below is a picture of the one they sell, they also auction it on ebay. The price when you buy it from them is $600 and $100 is a core charge returned when you send back your original wheel. As for the shifter - I had that replaced. You can buy it from the dealer for about $300 dollars and it looks beautiful. I also had the dealer install it (2 hours worth of labor ). It was costly but I let the dealer do it because it was an involved process.

I'll be sure to repost the exact price etc and pics when I get them done (I'll look into doing it when I pay off all the bills from my other hobbies).
