The vibrations you’re feeling are unfortunately a curse of these cars. There is no solution even on the 2022 model that I am, unfortunately the owner of. My aunt has a 2021 and it has similar issues. Lexus has basically told me to get lost and that’s the way they are designed. As for your hesitation problem as I was a victim of the same thing on a 2017 Highlander. Lots of complaints about this on both the Highlander and RX forums There never was a solution for it even though they had a lot of complaints. I hate to tell you, but you’re probably stuck with both of those issues unless you get rid of the car.

Does your car have the "Idle Stop-Start" system? If so, I'm sure you can turn that off somehow. I had a 2017 RX which didn't have it, but I now have a 2023 Honda CRV which does, but I have to cancel it every single time I start it with a button on the console. Annoying but necessary, for me anyway.
I would assume when in Sport, the start-stop would be off, but maybe some others on here would know more about that.

The reason for it is fuel economy. Not your fuel economy, but corporate fuel economy. You would never notice an increase of .000025 mpg, but over say, half million or whatever number of vehicles, that would satisfy the gubmint. I turn it off everytime I start it.

Anyone have transmission issues with their 2020 RX350?
Hello All,
I have gone through the what seems like hundreds of old pages of owners unhappy with their 8 speed tranamission and it's hesitation on what mostly seems like the 2016-2017-2018-2019 RX350 models... I have seen a lot of people saying this was corrected with a computer update that was quietly released by Lexus, with some people saying the issue never resolved. Also that Canada was harder to get lexus to update it then the US. And some people with 2020s being denied the update because "they aren't affected..".
With that said, is anyone still having or has ever experienced these issues with a 2020 RX350 model? All these posts have me worried and aiming towards the RH450 but my budget will only allow a 2016-2019 version of this vehicle and I would really like to have the 2020+ for the entertainment upgrades. So I am considering the 350 again.
Thoughts? Experiences?

Have a 2020 RX AWD which we purchased new. Would suggest you take a 2020 for a drive and reach your own conclusion. I knew this transmission was different from day one and even had the Service Mgr. ride with me. He didn't feel anything was "wrong". Have lived with it since and probably am now conditioned to some of the differences. By the way, our previous model was a 2017 RX so we noticed a difference coming from even the same model but different year.
Majority of my miles are highway so not a lot of shifting going on but do notice it at times especially in slower stop & go in town. Not a game changer for me at this point as I value most of the other features this vehicle gives me.
