Default Multiple malfunction messages after Viper install

I have a 2017 RX350 and had a viper remote start installed after Lexus got rid of 3G. After initial install I noticed the Headlight Malfunction warning and another warning that I can’t remember. Lexus dealership could not figure out what was causing it. I got up under the steering column to see if I could see anything noticeably wrong with any wiring and when I simply touched the wiring I heard random ‘chimes’ etc and noticed a host of new warning messages appear. Lane keeping assist malfunction. Forward camera system unavailable (car doesn’t even have a forward camera to my knowledge), Blind Spot Monitoring system malfunction. Additionally the car will not lock. The rear hatch/trunk will not open, power seats will not work. Etc. The place that did the Viper install can’t find any issues (but need to have their originally installer take a better look)

Anyone have any similar experience or have ANY suggestions?

i would go bak to the shop where u installed ur viper. If ur car worked fine before the viper install then most of the time the installer ****ed something up or installed the wrong wires.

***UPDATE*** I got sick of waiting. I got up under the steering column to check again and found a harness completely disconnected. Explains everything. The initial malfunction messages must have been because the harness was loose and then when I touched the bundle of wires the other day, it must have made the entire harness fully disconnect (and I just didn't see it). I can't even begin to understand how the (business) "professional" that installed the Viper Remote Start couldn't figure out what the issue was.

Moral of the story - if you experience similar issues after having an aftermarket remote start installed on your Lexus - check for loose harness(es).
