iPhone/iPod video (and 4-pole AUX cable?…)
Anyone knows what kind of cable to get to be able to watch videos from iPhone/iPod on Lexus navigation?…
Navigation manual mentions some "4-pole AUX cable", and illustration shows some weird split cable.
I did a quick search and didn't get any matches.
Can anyone advise on this? Will having a separate 4-pole AUX cable and lightning-to-USB cable at the same time work?… (I'm on iPhone 6S…)
Thanks!

I'm guessing here, but the AUX port on the car may only support audio. So from the iphone/iPad's headphone jack you would use an aux cable to the aux port on the car. Audio/video would be a lightning to USB cable from iPhone to the USB port of the car. The cable they show looks like they want a/v out of the Aux cable while charging device with USB.
Again just guessing.

I found similar cable from my old Alpine head unit (INA-W900), but it is the old 30-pin connector to iphone, I need to buy the lighting-30pin adapter then I will try it out.

OK so I think we have kinda bad news.
Reading the manual again, I noticed that anything above iPhone 4S is not supported. I'd assume the turning point for this feature is removal of 30-pin connector and switch to lightning connector, which probably just doesn't provide compatible/required support for video.
I tried with my iPhone 6S, connecting it with both USB and 4-pole AUX (as was suggested by Lexus support desk), and it didn't work. That was before I noticed these small asterisks beside each of the "supported" iOS devices models.
So duh…*guess we're out of luck as-is. (probably there are 3rd party solutions though…)

The apple device has to support video out of the headphone jack. Which I don't believe any newer video ipods do. And to watch you would have to be in park with the parking brake engaged.
