Reminds me of some VIN CLONING Ring that got busted in FL for the Illegal Auto Export Scheme or some lower models were rejected overseas and bounced back and sold to unsuspecting US customers .
Watch out!!! Once the vehicle is discovered stolen and has a false VIN, the unsuspecting customer who bought it not only has to GIVE UP THE VEHICLE, BUT ALSO STILL LIABLE FOR THE VEHICLE LOAN /NOTE BALANCE. If you had paid CASH, well you are just SOL!!!! In the report, often even legit big name car manufacturer dealerships (whom had no idea the vehicle was not legut) bought these illegal vehicles and turned around sold to customers.
The following occurred in 1998 (if my memory is correct ). But way back in the 1970's a big ring was busted in NJ for similar scams:

I would pass on this one. If you still want to pursue it, then I would take it to a Lexus dealer and ask them to show you that ALL VIN#s on ALL BODY PANELS, engine, transmission, and etc. MATCH!!! But even then, I would really question if all the VIN labels are authentic and not cloned? ?? Your insurance company can run the VIN# through a database and see (but IDK if this is linked INTERNATIONALLY if the vehicle was originally stolen from overseas)??? Again, too many questions on this vehicle and I would just pass and move on....

Your Insurance company would know! Also the Vin Number on my 2013 appears on the drivers side windshield, drivers side door jamb as well as inside the engine compartment!
You can also log into Lexus vehicle history and check there... https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/history
here is a little info I found but interestingly the model year is missing!

Be careful of a possible salvage vehicle...

That VIN comes up as:
11/2009 LEXUS RX270/350/450H (GGL15R-AWTGKW)
STD EUR RHD 2GRFE ATM 6FC

Personally, I'd just pass this vehicle. If selling dealer or individual can't explain about the VIN
some thing must be fishy. Move on look for another one.

I don't think so...
Now, I have become curious as to the amount of effort being used to check out this particular vehicle.
As I mentioned before, if it were me, I would have moved on by now in a search for your RX350! It is possible that you maybe turning over stones that best remain covered. This thread has mentioned various methods that you can avail yourself of should you continue...ie: As has been mentioned, the Insurance company, law enforcement...Lexus dealer/ company representatives etc.
Best of luck in your search for a suitable RX!

Definitly pass and seek out another
My RX was purchased from an official Lexus dealer in Nevada (USA) and The VIN, seller and buyer info all was correct! It took written communication from my insurance company to satisfy the DMV!!! (Very strict here)
What about where you are?

You could go to the Lexus Customer Service forum here on CL and ask them to verify the VIN for you.

OP, by now it should be blatantly obvious that the vehicle in South Africa is a stolen unit with its VIN re-keyed.
You probably don't want to have to bribe your way out of Kenyan police if they find discrepancies upon an inspection.
