2012 RX-350 distorted/wavy windshield
I bought my 2012 RX350 3 days ago and noticed that looking straight at the road through the windshield felt funny. When i tilt my head over move up and down while looking through the windshield, It feels like I am looking through a bad bifocal lens. Wavy and distorted vision at multiple spots across the windshield. Took it to my dealership today and they said I was not the first one to complain about this. They said 2012 and newer models have this problem. He had a 2016 IS250 parked in the service garage and asked me to look through its windshield. Same wavy vision. The service rep told me that you can't do anything about it other than going with a different make of windshield altogether. My lexus has factory fitted "Pilkington" DOT-15 glass with "LEXUS" above it.
Its really bothering me and may be I will get it replaced but I need to know which one to get because If i go with the OEM, according to the dealer rep, it will have the same problem.
Any help is appreciated.
P.S. I left my car there for other maintenance and drove home a loner "2015 ES-350" and its windshield did not have the wavy vision. I found out that its windshield says "LEXUS AGC" (Asahi Glass Company).
I am wondering If switching to a Asahi glass will solve my issue???

I have a 2010 and had to replace the windshield due to rock damage. State Farm would only pay fully for aftermarket glass. It works and looks fine, no waves and automatic wipers still operate.

If you have had no issues with that glass i might request the same make from my insurance.I have AAA and I am hoping they will cooperate.
