Message setting phone set up missing
I can longer find the message setup on the phone menu. It is missing.
Lexus 2013 450H.
Under setup, phone, no option for setting up messages.
Where did it go!!!!!!!

Do you have navigation on your car? On the car's phone screen (the screen with the dial pad), is the message's button grayed out?

Go to the "Phone" screen and click on the messages icon (envelope). That will usually force messaging to be set up if it isn't already. Otherwise try accessing the phone settings from the Phone screen. If you're an iPhone user, don't forget to allow push notifications in your Bluetooth settings as well.

Yes it is grayed out. I have always been able to access the message setup and now it is gone.
Messages used to work with my Blackberry ATT Q10 now it is a mess. I am not sure what has changed or why.
I did a security wipe on the phone, and re-registered the phone of the Lexus bluetooth, but no message setup.
Thanks

If it's grayed out, chances are there's something on your phone you have to change to allow messages to come through the car. I'm sure that's why there isn't a message setup option.

I had thought the message setting was in the setup menu for phones. When I do that I only get 3 options and one is not messages. Am I in the right place?
I had thought so.

What type of phone are you currently using? Try unpairing and then pairing the phone again. Remove the phone from the car's BT device list and remove the car from your phone's list, and start from scratch. Also check lexus.com/mobilelink.

So I wiped the Blackberry everything. I reentered added the email accounts. I re did everything on the Blackberry including password for BBM.
On the Lexus I deleted the Blackberry.
Then I repaired the Blackberry to the Lexus and VOILA messages was back in Phone, and all email accounts and SMS tabs were re-populated. Also in Setup Phone the Message option was back.
A lot of work but everything seems to work fine for now. I have no idea how the Blackberry was able to trash the Navigation on the Lexus.
So for now consider it fixed.
