Brake "barking"
I have an annoyance with my `10 RX450h. When I press the brake pedal, even at stop, or when in move and just starting to brake by the electric generators, there is an audible bark. It was identified as sudden flow of the brake fluid, which resonates through all the brake lines, front and rear.
The brake solenoids were moved one-by-one by the service, then the brake fluid was changed, it all became quiet. But after 2 weeks, the barking started again.
Does this sound similar to any of you? It would be nice to hear if someone already had such problem and found the root cause.
There are no error codes, and the braking works perfectly. The wear items of the brake system are in good condition.
Many thanks in advance.

Me too, mainly happens pressing the brake pedal firmly which is typically only to shift out of Park, or when braking quickly, and much more noticeable when it's cold. In the summer or with light to normal braking it's not bothersome. I've heard others say replacing the brake actuator and pump solves the problem, but out of warranty the cost is excessive. I actually talked with dealer about it my last oil change, around $5500CAD to replace. I said no thanks, I'll live with it.

On my car it does at every brake pedal press, even when just touching a little bit. I think when touching the pedal it pressurizes the system (that's why the brake fluid "rush" vibrating the brake lines), so that it can apply braking force very quickly when pressed deeper.
It is a "head-turner" bark, very audible also from the outside.

Happens on my '10 450h too. Dealer said they couldn't hear it. May take it back next service. We have extended warranty so hopefully that will cover it. It's like a rub or honk when hitting the brake pedal. Definitely worse when cold.
The hybrid is so quiet it's more annoying! Please update if anyone has a TSB or successful fix. What was your strategy for making service realize its' a "real" problem?

re:
I have the same issue with my 2010 RX and VIN started in J (Japan) Dealer replaced the actuator assembly and it's now all quiet. It's almost a $4K USD repair bill so be ready.
There is a warrantly enhancement program but dealer said my car wasn't included. I will try to file my request for reconsideration with lexus corporate.
