Was checking out vaistech.com and saw this new idea

I had a bunch of stuff in my hands today and was able to get the fob out of my pocket, unlock the RX and have the rear door open by the time I got to the car. Most of the time this approach works well. I wish the fob worked a bit further away (especially when trying to locate the RX in a garage) but other than that this method works well for us.

I would prefer "OK Google / Siri / Cortana, open my tailgate", as I'm walking up to the car, so it's fully open when I arrive if my hands are full of something. This system doesn't seem to be fully hands free unless I suppose, you want to be twerking or doing some pelvic thrusts at your license plate. Don't be surprised to find yourself on YouTube in short order. If you have to use your hands, it's only marginally more convenient than going for the fob.
Although I've heard some complaints about it, I kind of like the idea of foot activated sensor used on some Fords.
