Should my nav been updated by dealer?

i have not updated my NAV since 2010 eventhough my local dealer charges this time for only $220 ( $170-usb key + $50 labor ) current data maps enough for me around where i live in california. For long trips I use WAZE app with my Nexus 7 which is superior navigation routes, POI's , live traffic and of course live "LEO" locations.

Good info in this post.
Moderator, please note that the "3RX FAQ" sticky, under "Tips, Tricks, and DIYs ..." https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ease-read.html has a link (second bullet) called "Navigation upgrade v 11.1" that is a broken link. The link should be removed or re-linked to this thread. IMO.
Thanks.

This is one of my few complaints going from my 2008 to the 2010. It was a matter of minutes to do the update for my 2008 and since the maps have major errors for where I live in my 2010, I'll be updating them this fall when the new maps come out and relying on my phone as a backup nav system until then.
