My 2010 keeps losing my contacts and speed dials
I load them from my iPhone, they remain in the system for a week or two and then just disappear.
The dealer has no idea.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks, --sw

2011 with iPhone 5, I have the exact same issue as well. Contacts and speed dials loaded, saved, set just the way I want and within a week poof gone. No answer as to the cause but its a tad frustrating.
Even more annoying though in addition to the disappearing contacts, on a daily basis, the USB sync will say fail to connect when I start the car and plug in my phone. I will have to unplug the phone, plug it back in and navigate to Audio, select USB and then hit the play button on my iPhone. Sometimes if I leave the phone plugged in when I shut the car off it then everything works just fine when I restart, but sometimes not. Anyone experience anything like this, am I doing something wrong?
Are these issues more of a problem with the iPhone or with the vehicle's software?

Do you ever switch SIM cards? It happens to me when I had to temporarily switch my phone out for another. Each time I removed the card, contacts and speed dials were wiped from the car. Maybe something similar to that process happens to you guys?

Can force losing contacts
I noticed that when my phone ran out of power and shut itself down, when it can back powered, my contacts were gone. Just tested it. Car running and Bluetooth connected, reboot iPhone (hold down home and power button until it shuts down). Start up phone using power button and when powered back up and Bluetooth connected to your car, contacts are probably gone. Been fighting this with 2 different Lexus RX. Not sure they care but I will forward this to Lexus.

Folks, honestly, these sort of problems are best taken up with your local dealership Technology Specialist who you can sit down with you, show and discuss the situation in your car. It's a free service to all Lexus Owners. They have access to internal Lexus systems to find common symptoms and resolutions, and have an ability to escalate problems further within the company.
At least at my dealership, changes introduced last year now require any "Infotainment" problem that you would have taken to a Service Advisor in the past, now first go to a Technology Specialist -- only when they give the go-ahead, will Service pursue flashing an update or whatever other service action is required.
