2 dealerships, 4 different visits... They had no idea about personalized settings...Finally GM involvement helped to fix knowledge gap... Call me naive, but I expected better performance from the Lexus technicians.

At least you didn't get the standard "working as designed" or "unable to reproduce" response I get when they either don't know how to fix something, or don't want to mess with it. There's an old sales adage that says "always make them say no twice". I'm pretty sure service department wants to make you report an issue at least twice before they take you seriously. Your Service Adviser should be able to help. If you haven't already, I HIGHLY recommend developing a strong working relationship with yours.
