Anybody looked at the 2014 MDX yet?
Anybody looked at the 2014 MDX when shopping for an RX? We just bought a 2013 RX, and are very happy with it. However, the new MDX has some nice features and is bigger (7 row), so it seems that you get a little bit more for your money there. But I had a look at one of them a colleague bought, and it doesn't appear to be as upscale to me and the RX, materials inside felt somewhat cheaper.

No, I don't play soccer!
Take a look at this thread. It's about a member that made the switch from a '10 RX to '12 MDX but there's some good observations about the differences. Material appearance can be subjective.

Vehicle purchases are very much subjective. Can come down to a single fact or feature to tip the balance in favor of one vehicle over another. For example, I would not purchase an MDX. The reason for me is simple -- size. I do not need a 7-seat vehicle and do not wish to drive around something of that size. At the time of purchase the RX was the appropriate size for my needs. The tight turning circle and ease of parking this midsize SUV for city use while also providing a comfortable ride for long trips up and down the east coast was more important. If I need something larger for the day or weekend I just rent it. Today, I could get by with something even a bit smaller CUV such as the upcoming NX or even a CTh.
As for materials, I think a lot of that has to do with family lifestyle and ability to care for such. If you have little kids the difference in materials can be huge. What may be more "upscale" may also be a nightmare to clean when abused. Have an active lifestyle? What may look cheaper may also be more durable.

Lead Lap
I saw a few of them recently. Similar to the Honda Pilot, the body grows wider and I didn't like that.
The head lights are LED which are very nice to look at.
Before I bought my rx350 I looked at the '13 mdx. Didn't buy it because it's a bit sluggish and not as gas efficient as the rx. Also I didn't have a need for the third-row and didn't want to pay for it or want its added weight.
