Lexus of Santa Monica Ca., the dealer where we bought our 2010 RX450h, sent an e-mail offering $1000 above fair market trade in on a new 2013 RX during their Lexus Golden Opportunity Sales event which ends Sept. 4th. Unfortunately I was 2000 miles away. Would have had 2000 more miles depreciation, and a 40,000 mile service due, so wouldn't be worth driving there. Did give us one more piece of leverage for our trade in last week (39,700 miles) and our new 2013 RX450h purchased in Dallas.

Earlier this month we leased a 2012 ES 350 and got the owner loyalty $1k. The lease manager I spoke with said the loyalty comes from Lexus Corporate; the dealers don't get to choose. Lexus changes the program monthly, dependiong on sales and which cars they want to move. I also bought a 2013 Rx 450h last month and did not get the owner loyalty discount.
