Intake removal
I have an 07 rx 350 with a misfiring # 3 coil. Decided to replace all since #6 was replaced under warranty about a year ago. I read several posts on this forum before I tried to remove the intake yesterday with no success. I'm having trouble finding the brace bolts in the rear. I found 1 on drivers side but can't see or even feel any others. Not sure if there are 1 or 2 , anyone know for sure? Next, if I can't see or feel them how can I get them out and more importantly back in?

There's a thread somewhere floating around detailing a spark plug change...don't know where to find it, but when I did my plugs I remember it being quite detailed. Additionally, check out some Highlander forums...same engine setup and a bigger population that both owns and works on their own vehicles.

Thanx tbm
I'm new here and I've found some really good help but it's been for a rx330. Do you know if the engine and compartment are going to be the same? If they are I'm sure there is enough info to get me through this. Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

Thanks Thomas
Mine is a little different but close. I finally figured out how to get the wipers and cowl off which was a huge plus. I can now access the rear intake bracket bolts. The one on the pass. Side is going to be a real challenge but it must be possible, somebody's done it!! After the 2 brackets the plenum should come off. I'm replacing as much as possible while I'm in there. Hope I don't need in there again. I'll let ya know how it turns out. Thanks for your help

It's not that bad with a set of stubby ratchet wrenches. I think it's 12mm on the drivers side and 14mm on the passenger side. My driver's side was actually harder as it was tighter. I didn't take off the cowling for mine, was able to do it with it on.

Mine is a 2007 rx350 it has 2 bolts both 12mm. For me, removing the cowl was the only option, I couldn't even touch the bolt on pass. side. I've got it off now and I'm heade out to get more parts. When I get it back together I'll post pics and problems. Thank all of you for your help, this is forum is Great!!
