New 2004 RX330 Owner with a few questions
Hi all,
I just bought a 2004 RX330 with 102K miles on it. Got it at a fairly good price, about 11K.
But I did one bad thing, and bought it at night. So I missed something.
The passenger side mirror has an orange tint starting about 3/4 from the top of the mirror. I assume that it's a problem with the auto tint, and the glass will have to be replaced.
I took it for a good drive today, up and over the mountains and everything was great, except every once in a while a noticed a 'hitch' in upshifts.
The only other thing is that the CD player is broke. Looking on this forum that seems to be a common problem. It doesn't bother me much as I've already added my Sirius radio using a cassette adaptor. (Now I need to figure out how to make the wires look a little nicer)
One thing that impressed me (and I'm curious about how it works). The RX330 has the auto wipers. During my cruise today I rounded a corner and hit a big puddle. Wipers turned on immediately at high speed, slowed to normal and then a few random swipes. So cool!
Now I just hope we get some snow so I can see how good the RX handles that!

I just bought a 2005 RX330 164k, $7400. a few days ago. Just finished sanitizing the car. And I have the same question about the wipers.
also, the previous owner was nit a DIYer and it was his wife's car. he told me he just changed the ATF, and it is sparkling clean fluid, but not toyota ATF type IV, should swap it out, or dirty it up for 5k miles, then swap?
I wanted to swap it out redline D4 in, and be done with it for 60k... thoughts?
I was dissappointed to find it's to change the spark plugs on my other car than this 3.3.
