2006 Lexus RX400H heated seats will not go off
the driver side only stays on, both the seat and back, even if the switch is off. I suspect I have a faulty relay. Any way to know for sure?

Anything?
A friend of mine has a 2006 RX 400H with this issue. The drivers side seat heater will be on even when the switch off.
I say it for myslef today. Started the car up and it wasnt on, then after driving for five minutes came on all by itself. This thing has a mind of its own.
I told maybe a quick fix would be to remove the fuse entirely. For the summer at least right, why not?
Anyone have the same issue with this? How about a fix?

Heated Seats RX 400H will not turn off.
There is a connector under the driver seat. Mine was obviously defective. The plastic casing was melted in areas. But I replaced the connector and it fixed the problem. It was very easy to replace.

I have the same problem and wonder if you could possibly talk me through what you done, I'm based in the UK and have been charged near £400 to fix the problem, I'd appreciate it greatly if you could break down what you did.

This is probably a fairly simple thing to do. You unbolt the seat from the floor so you can gain access and replace the wire harness.

This is a DIY job.
So easy, no reason to pay the dealer $500.
Unhook the battery for a few mins(air bag plug wait time required).
Move the seat on the tracks to the middle position- half way between all the way forward and all the way backward.
Next, fold the seat down as far as it will go- like a taco. lol
Remove the back bolts(2) and front bolts(2).
Gently tilt the front edge of the seat up and unplug all connectors.
Now the seat will pull out thru the door opening.
It is literally a 5 minute job to pull the seat.
