9005 in fogs rx330
Hello,I have RX330,I replaced the OEM fogs with putco yellow 9006,the light looks nice but little dim to me,I am thinking to replace with 9005 yellow after taking care of the housing of the bulb, take out little piece of plastic.
My question is any buddy here tried this,is it very bright or acceptable.
The original 9006 and the replacement is 65 watts,I think the 9005 is 100 watts output.....please your help thanks

i would stick with the factory wattage, if you go higher, you could melt stuff, (the higher the wattage the higher the heat too)
maybe try a different 1000k rating, yellow is around the 2500 to 3500 i think,

I would concur. Most factory wiring harnesses are built to handle the wattage of the recommended bulb and maybe... maybe... just 5 or 10 watts more. I would not jump up from a 65 watt to a 100 watt bulb. You're asking for trouble, it would definitely melt the wiring and even worse, potentially start a fire.
If you're going to run those 100 watt bulbs I would also replace the wiring to something that can handle that.

got the putco jet yellow same wattage as stock
over this weekend while removing the headlights and resealing them i installed the bulbs
they are yellow and look good, you can notice the diff right away. obviously they are the same wattage so you dont get as powerful of an out put but you can notice the diff right away. i have not done much night/fog driving with them yet so cant speak on performance
i took a few cel phone pics will try to get them on here
