Extended Warranty

I called the 888 number this morning and talked with the rep. The company is Automotive Product Consultants, Inc. and their letter says their service contracts are accepted by Lexus of Clearwater:
http://www.apcisg.com/BusinessDetail...ion=businesses
The rep I spoke with, Charlie, said they offer a 4 year (from time of signing contract)/100,000 mile warranty (what's on the odometer) for $2,487, a 5 year/100,000 for $2,600 and a 7 year/125,000 for $2,703.
That's significantly higher than the $800 quote that MC got from Midwest Toyota.

Also look at the fine print as to what is included/excluded
I have about 1 1/2 years left on my current extended warranty (3 year/100,000). I only put about 10,000 miles a year on it so I anticipate going another 5 years before reaching the 100,000. The current 3 year is my major concern, as I stated earlier, since there's 1 1/2 years left.
Having a 4 or 5 year extension would be nice and my next step is to check the fine print. I will call my APC rep again and ask him to email me a copy of the service agreement. If it differs from the current Lexus extended warranty, I'll pass.
Thanks again!

I contacted Jerry and compared his price with other dealers and he had the best price and service. Give him a call if you are looking for an extended warranty!
Thanks again for the tip!

Jerry is the man. Just purchased a 7/125K LEXUS VSA (Vehicle Service Agreement - basically adding 3yrs or 75K to the factory warranty) for our 2010 RX450h. See following link for info on Lexus VSA http://www.lexusfinancial.com/consum...pg_VSAOverview
Indeed read several awesome CLF entries citing contacts and pricing in MA, CO, CA, TX, as well as locally (NJ). Again, Jerry in KS is the man.
What did I pay? You're not gonna believe me if I tell ya. Call Jerry, he's the real McCoy and NO, he's not in the band.

From Jerry Johnson of Midwest Toyota mentioned in this thread. Courteous service, good price. I thank the person who started this thread.

No Problem
Thanks, I cant tell you how much money I have saved by reading Club Lexus.
Just a note for the future. Look at all the threads. Even the models you dont have. I found Jerrys information in the GS section.

The longest one can buy from Lexus is the 8yr/125k miles and the retail price on the platinum pkg at zero deductible is a whopping $3525 ($3475 w/ $50 deductible). However, the same pkg on a ES350 is $500 less. Hopefully no one pays the retail price on this type of pkg and for a reliable brand like Lexus, I'm not sure you really need it. Just my 2 cents.

Warranty
It all depends on what you need. My 2007 just went over 38K. So I bought the two year platinum warranty for 800 dollars. The Lexus dealer wanted 1450.
So in 22 months it will be time to get a car. 800 dollars would be just one decent repair at the Lexus dealer. For me its cheap insurance. And piece of mind.
