RX 330: Do interior lights ever turn off on a timer?
My 2004 RX330's battery died again this morning after I left the interior lights on overnight. This is the second time I needed a boost.
If I remember correctly in my old 1998 Sienna, the interior lights would go off automatically even if they were "on".
Is there a way of turning off the interior lights on a "timer"?
Could be time to replace the battery too. Again, never had to replace the one in the Sienna which we had for over nine years. I guess all the electronics and heated seats, etc. of the RX really shorten the life span of the battery. Mind you seven years may be good enough for, say, $100 battery.
Thoughts?

If you press the interior button(s) to turn on the lights, they will stay on. Only the headlights and dome light, which comes on when you do things like open the doors or turn the car off, will turn off by themselves.
Seven years is a good lifespan for your battery. Would definitely invest in a new one at this time. Plenty of threads discussing such. Be sure to read the ones on how to reset your windows and sunroof after the battery change.

I did the same a while back on my 400h.
Left the rear ceiling light on in the garage. It's so well lit up there that I never noticed it being on.
A couple of days later it was dead
I've been thinking of asking a friend who does electronics dev for a living to program a little thingy for me to install that cuts light after a certain time etc.
