Talking New member to the RX 2nd Gen Family

Hi All,

Thought I would introduce myself officially. I have been a member of this website for a long time and have been mainly hanging out in the ES300 forums. 2 days ago I received my new-to-me Lexus RX330. It is a 2003 RX330 as we get the cars about a year before the USA gets them (so think of it is a MY04 pre-05).

The car drives so beautifully and I am in awe with the RX. I am not sure what the different equipment specs are in the US, but in Australia we got the "Sports" and the "Sports Luxury" models. I have the "Sports Luxury" which is feature packed (for example with the ML Audio, Sat Nav). The previous owner also had the following items added to the RX, which were not available in the pre-05 models.
  • Rear DVD Entertaiment Screen (although I think this was an option in the US not sure if it was an option in Australia)
  • Bluetooth phone system (not available in any pre-05, but is a factory aftermarket one)
  • Inputs for something like a Playstation to run through the rear screen
  • Infrared Headphones for the Rear Unit

I have already asked a few questions on the forum and would like to thank all those that have helped me with my questions. Anyway I am rambling on, let's me show some piccies (apologies for the grass, I think I have black beetle killing it )

COOL!! Good luck with her! I wonder why your seats are different though? We dont have those small fine holes in the seats,so their is no where for the farts to go (unfortunately)

not bad looking, loaded differently than US-spec RX330s, that's for sure. lose the ugly mud flaps and get the Lexus ones and get the 5-spoke 18" wheels. those 17" looks too cheesy on such a nice looking SUV.

Good find, fully loaded.

Comments:
1. Get 18's. Use the OEM 5 spoke or the 7 spoke titanium.
2. Nice side marker, I have them but is not offered here in US.
3. Replace the mud guards with OEM Lexus, much nicer!
4. You have the better seats, perforated.
5. Can really use some interior (ok, a lot of) cleaning. Specially the seats. Need to clean and apply conditioner.
6. Good wash, wax!

Welcome!

Thanks for comments all. The interior is a bit dirty and I will be going through it this weekend and cleaning every nook and cranny. I will have to find some pics of the 18" 5-spokes / 7 spoke titanium's. Has anyone got pictures of the Lexus OEM mud flaps?
