AFS Headlght indicator at ignition time?
I've got a 2005 RX 330 with the AFS HID headlights and am wondering whether the AFS system is working properly or not.
When you turn on the ignition, most of the warning indicators on the dashboard are supposed to light up for a couple seconds (and then turn off) just to let you know that all of the inidcators are working properly.
However, on my RX, the blue AFS warning light (near the top of the tachometer dial) does NOT light up at ignition time, even though the 2005 RX 330 owner's manual says it is supposed to. (I'm referring to the AFS malfunction indicator that looks like a headlight symbol, not the orange "AFS OFF" indicator, which seems to be working fine.)
Has anyone else noticed whether the AFS warning light at the top of the tachometer lights up briefly at start-up on their RX 330?
My AFS headlights seem to work for horizontal movement (when I turn the steerring wheel), but I've never been able to detect any auto-leveling (vertical movement) in the system, even when I go up and down hills or put heavy loads in the back of the vehicle. So I'm just wondering if there's a malfunction of blown circuit somewhere which is affecting both the dashboard indicator as well as the vertical auto-leveling system itself.
