Advice needed on used 330
Hey guys, I am trying to help my neighbor who recently has gooten a divorce. She bought a 330 in December. She wants to sell it for obvious reasons. I am going to sell it for her. I am looking for a good starting price. Edmunds does not show values on used 04 models yet. Sticker price was $ 30,073.00. It is 2wd, Savannah Metallic, it has the premium pckg, rain-sensing wipers, wood-leather steering wheel, preerred accessory pkge. I am thinking of a start price of 36,500 and no lower than 35,000. What are yalls opinion? Thanks.

I'd start @ 37k and then you could negotiate down from that. Since you can't find a used price, that may work to your advantage.
Check e-bay to see what used RX's are going for similarly equipped, I saw a couple on there yesterday.

Thanks Ray, I put it in the paper and on thier web site. ajc.com. I put 36,5000. The lowest we will go is 35,000. Thats a good deal for 35,000. It is like brand new.

It seems high $36,500 for a used 2wd RX330. A brand new one with permium plus package and loaded with extra option (heated seat, tow package . .. .) is about $36,600 before tax ($40,323 msrp, $35788 invoice) in my area (93720). Check www.carsdirect.com. and add extra option you will get this number.
Personally I will not buy a used car for the same price as a new on. I will suggest to sell it for around $35000 and set $34000 be the lowest price.
It will be a tough for your neighbor, be realistic, most likely she wont be about to get $36000 or even $35000 for her car. Of course, if some buyers have no idea how much a used 2wd RX330 suppose to cost, they may offer a much higher value. Remeber 2005 RXs are on their way to show room soon
Selling a near new car is a big financial hit.
I bought my AWD RX330 performance package $2000 below msrp last June for $45,000 ($41,300 + tax + doc fee) my car has less than 7000 miles. If I have to sell it now, I will not be able to sell it for more than $38,000 in my area (MSRP $43,613, invoice $38,557 carsdirect $39,457). In Los Angeles, my car will be even worth less because people buying lexus around the invocie price.
Go to a car dealer and ask for a trade in, see how much they are going to offer you. Use that number and add $2,000 and that will be another way to figure out how much the car worth in your area.
Good luck.
