Default How the '%$^$" do I pull out Driver side fog lamp

Guys,
I switched out my Low lamps for SilverStars (looks hot) HID look. I also bought PIA ION Crystals (Yellow) for the Fogs, I got the Passenger side after a little bit of trouble but, After 1 1/2 and scraping the crap outta my hands I could not get the Driver side fog out. It turns and loosens but won't pull out. Anybody got any ideas.

By the way I am waiting for my 18 X 8 Zenetti Mystiks with Yoko tires to come in and I will post pics of all

Danny

Default today's puzzler

dpro, from what I've read, it is through the wheel well. Have to unbutton the wheel well liner part way around to get at the housing. I haven't done this yet. Anyone else?

DId you get it out? I remember having the same problem...I think that side has the least amount of room so you do not have as much leverage and your using your left arm. I know that I did not go through the wheel well to get mine out but I can't recall how I did it. I think I removed something in the way or loosened it to give me another inch or so (air box??). Try it again when you arm is at full strength and maybe try to rock it slightly while pulling on it. I think you haven't yet broken the rubber seal if they have never been replaced....and they have probably been in there for years.

It's worth your time....believe me......how does your passenger one look compared to the old lamp?

I changed out my factory fog bulbs with Silverstars on my '02 with factor HID's. There was no way to get to either fog bulb from behind. Someone posted a thread on removing the headlight buckets complete with pictures. You remove the two visible bolts on the top of the headlight housing. You then have to loosen the plastic wheel well liner and remove two nuts from the backside of the housing. You can then pull the whole headlight bucket forward and get to all the bulbs, including the tiny parking lights.

I have a stock 99 without HID and I was able to change all six bulbs with Silverstar 9005s by reaching behind and removing each bulb. I want to change the corner lights now with new bulbs..Is that done easily through the wheel well without removing a lot of panels?
