It's coming from the valve cover below the PCV. This is the older style PCV valve which simply pushes into the rubber grommet on the valve cover. That grommet gets exposed to a lot of heat over time and bakes to a rock hard brittle item with no rubber "give" (ask me how I know). At a minimum you need to replace the grommet, I would change the PCV valve also. Both parts combined cost under $20.

Lexus redesigned the rear valve cover in the later years of the 1st gen RXs. the PCV is a metal unit that threads directly into the valve cover with no grommet. Lexus also redesigned the internal baffles under the valve cover to minimize oil getting sucked back into the intake. The new PCV is a straight unit that requires changing the rubber hose to the intake also. I am about to change my rear cover in the next week, I have all the part numbers if you want them.

Default Part no

Can I have the parts no and prices?
Is it easy to change the gormet ? It looks very tight and I am afraid I can break it while removing.

Pull the pcv out. Cut the grommet with utility razor and then with needle nose pliers curl the grommet and pull it out. Most likely the grommet will tear. There is a ledge that will prevent the grommet from falling in but exercise care.

I would replace the pcv.

If you stay with the old valve cover ... grommet + PCV ~ $20.
