Tint question about rear windows
Hi,
After tinting my personal car, I do find a big difference in the heat rejection and all.
I am now thinking of putting some tint on the RX300 mostly for my dad's skin problem.
He's usually the lone occupant in the vehicle for work and such.
I have the following questions:
The rear mirror tints, do they block 99% UV and have similar heat rejection like normal tint film?
I'm planning to put a clear film like Llumar Air 80 on the front driver/passenger windows only both for cost effectiveness. Anyone have experience with this product and its effectiveness in cutting down heat while maintaining good outward visibility at night?

My wife has a skin disease and sensitivity to the sun, so I have thought of the same things you are. I added tint to all side windows of her 2nd generation RX taking the light transmission down to the low 20s. North Carolina allows this with a medical waiver from the state. The rear glass was already below 30, but I was unsure of the UV rejection from the factory. I did not tint the tailgate as it was already difficult to see to back at night. The slope of the windshield allows a lot of light penetration, so she wears gloves when driving. One of the film companies offers a clear film for the windshield that blocks UV, but I passed on this product. Good Luck.
