Default Rear bumper protector

I know this has been discussed but I cannot find the thread with the search tool; I might have even asked before but can't remember if I did (obvious Alzheimer's). I have a lot of paint chips on the top of my rear bumper including a few right on the edge. A protector would be way cheaper than repainting and I like the protector. Here is an example of what I'm talking about below. A few questions for those in the know and thank you in advance. I just had some rust repaired on my rear quarter and the body shop fixed a dent and scratches on the same quarter gratis and now I'm into my RX looking good not just riding nicely.

1. I thought someone found this item for less than my link of $99.95; any help?
2. It looks like the protector covers right to the edge which is the whole reason I'm interested; am I correct?
3. What's the deal with installing this thing. I am not mechanically inclined.

For a factory fresh and original, it seems like a decent price. You can always call Lexus parts. It was not a option for '99 but the part does fit.

We will have to wait for some one who has done the install to share if the adhesive/self-adhesive comes with the protector (or you can ask the seller).

For preparation, I would wash the the bumper with dish-washing soap (be careful as it removes wax). Rinse and rinse, after it air dries, go over the would-be contact patch with rubbing alcohol (applied with a lint free rag ... lightly moistend). Let it air dry and then follow the direction on the adhesive. To apply pressure during first few hours, I borrow couple of bags of rice and spread them evenly. You can use sandbags (sand does seep out of the bag). The weight is not necessary but it helps.

After full curing time of the adhesive, wax the surrounding area.

Thanks as always Salim.

If anyone has actually installed the protector please chime in.

Additional - just called my dealer - they are $116, only a few $ more since no shipping. I will stop in Monday and see what they would charge to install.

Don't know how to give out points or reps on here if there is any, but to carguy07 for helping out OP with a cheaper link for their bumper guard.

And I just got the part - it came really fast. And to my delight it has the lip shown in the photos so it will cover my paint chips - it looks cool too. And it comes with already applied double sided tape. Just have to clean with alcohol as Salim said and put it on. Sweet! Thanks carguy!
