Default Rear Bumper question

Do gen1 and gen2 models share the same back bumper? (shape, fit, installation etc) I couldn't find anything with the search function, except this website http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html but I cant really see any significant difference from the pics provided. Sorry if it has been discussed before and thanks in advance.

no. if you can, upgrade to a 98-00 bumper. they are much more stout and can handle the 5mph pole test with 0 damage unlike 95-97

Gotcha! Thanks a lot guys. Just found a 96 that is being parted out not too far from here. Will have to see how much for both front and rear bumper. It would make me feel better driving around without a huge *** dent.lol

'89-94 have interchangeable front and rear ends.

'95-97 have interchange front and rear ends.

'98-00 have interchangeable front and rear ends.

yes '95-97 can be updated to '98-00 front ends with changing ALL of the front clip. Rear end will require bodywork on the bumper.

Yeah, I am not really looking to update. Given that I don't really know how long I will keep the car, I'd like to spend as little money as possible on it cosmetically. However, the back bumper dent is really driving me crazy and If i could pick up that bumper for cheap, It would be great.
