Found sludge in airboot
I was going to clean the IACV and when I removed the airboot, I noticed what appeared to be condensation inside it. I suspect it was coming from the breather tube from valve cover to the boot. TB has some buildup too.
I also noticed that the oil fill cap was cracked pretty good. Could it be possible that the cracked cap could result in a vacuum strong enough to pull oil thru the vent hose?

I would think a cracked filler cap would make a vacuum leak and it would pull less through the breather. Either way, get a new cap and a fresh PVC valve. I think I found a little bit of oil in mine before too.

Sludge is a tar like substance .... really really thick oil.
Don't confuse it with condensate like crusty deposit.

Nothing crusty. It was a liquid like substance.

I had some type of residue in my throttle body air tube as well. After I saw that, I checked PCV valve and it was clogged. I've since replaced it and I haven't ever seen that type of deposit in there.

When the wife gets home I will pull the PCV out and check it. I did replace the oil fill cap last nigt and the cars vibration has almost completely vanished. I am guessing the rest of the vibration will end with the replacement of tranny and motor mounts.
I am supposed to be outside taking the valve covers off my car today but with 50mph wind gusts.... Nope hood is not flying down on me today. With that being said, I better double check the strength of the hood on the rx before I remove the PCV.
