New breaks: OEM or Aftermarket?
Hi again! Figured I'll ask some more questions while I'm at it!
Time for new brakes for the rain season. Dealer is pricing me $500 for front and rear, obviously using OEM parts (new pads and resurfacing rotors). A place down the street that only work on Lexus vehicles will do the same job for $300, but using aftermarket pads and whatever other parts involved in the brake work. What should I do? Anything I should be on a lookout for with aftermarket parts? Thanks!

Try buying your own brake parts and have the shop down the street install them for you. This will save you some money and you're still using OEM materials.

Hope this helps.

RX300wannabe,
Please note on that Iron Toad link that the 2002 front brake pads differ from the 2001 and earlier pads.
Your profile does not list the year of your RX 300.
