Open the glove compartment all the way and the filter is near the bottom (hinged) area of the glove compartment door.

To be more specific (on a 2001 model):
1. Open the glove box. There will be a slide-out cut-out in the back of the glove box. Slide it up and out.
2. Reach in now further back and there will be another plastic cover with two small knubs on either side. Pull that straight out towards you.
3. The filter is now exposed. Reach in again and slide it out straight towards you. Keep it parallel to the ground as you remove it so that you don't spill any debris all over your interior.

ahhaha becareful when you reach in and pull out your filter.... you might find dustballs having a party or just gunk and junk covered all over the filter... dumb filter...
