Thumbs down Cabin Filter

I think this guy can get another five years use out of it.

Not too surprised of the cabin filter; I honestly think it's one of the most forgotten automotive parts in the realm of routine/preventive maintenance. Not sure how long that filter stayed in the LS without changing, but mine looked almost like that from my 2001 ES (never changed or replaced in only 2 years!)

Default location of cabin filter

I have looked casually for the LS400 cabin filter, would someone be so kind as to tell me where it is located? Thanks

Isn't that one of those million mile thingy's?

Check interval is 15K I think. I changed mine not long ago and though the one I replaced wasn't bad, the new one made a difference. Cost was ~$26.

The access panel is just behind the glove box. Open the glove box and you'll see a panel where the climate ducting is. There is a snap fit panel...remove that and there is the filter. Be careful removing the filter if it hasn't been serviced recently or you'll jar loose all that dust.

It's located behind the glove compartment, you'll see the opening on the back of the glove box door.

Changed my 1993 LS 400 cabin filter, it was almost clogged ! Much better airflow now. Do not know how long it was in there, found it easy to do.

I am told that there isn't one on the 92 model year. Should I check anyways?
