Driver Seat Power Adjustments
Does anyone know if it is possible to get another 1" to 1 1/2" in seat travel going to the rear? (without spending a fortune). I have really long legs and would like the additional room

I'm trying to remember from when I last had the driver's seat out (changing the heater). If the bolts are perpendicular to the floor, you could offset the mounting by using four 1 x 2-1/2" or so flat pieces of steel. Drill a bolt-sized hole near each end. Bolt one end to the floor of the car, then bolt the other end to the seat which is now positioned about 1-1/2" rearward. If any of the holes in the floor are angled, you could use a block of metal (harder to drill, of course), or maybe bend the flat piece of metal. I doubt this idea would please the safety police, so you need to make sure you use some strong metal in there. Do you think this could work?

I would suggest playing with seat height as well. But any modification you do to the seat or its attachment can compromise on the safety. You dont want to trade one problem for another.

Yes saftey will be compromised.....
The only way is the metal strap method, but then the seat is easier to break away. Problems will begin when the police and/or insurance company investigate that accident you thought you'd never have.
I'm 6'1 and have plenty of room....how tall are you that this is an issue?....
My old seat was broken so that the height of the rear adjustment didn't move up, but I did notice it was a bit lower than after I put the new seat in.
BTW, somewhat off topic. I replaced my 2000 driver's seat with a 2001 seat. I was able to make it work, I'm sure other's, even Lexus, will tell you it cannot be done.....
