Default Battery warning light

I have an AWD 1999 rx300. The wife was driving it and the battery warning light came on. It only comes on when the car is in idle. She also noticed that the enging is running rough in idle. Does anyone know what might be wrong. Thanks

Battery warning light, means battery is not getting charged.

Start by making sure the battery terminals are secure and clean. Also looking if the belt is loose. Beyond this you have to take it in for checkup/repairs.

Carry jumper cables, just in case the battery is unable to start the RX.

This is going to sound some what retarded, but check her oil. Some Toyota`s have been known to have this happen when the oil is low. (Seriously)
