Error code P0330 - Knock sensor replacement

Thank you for the picture, it explains a lot. The U hook is referred to as engine hanger 1, I hope you never have a need to use the hooked part.
The CEL has turned off on its own, and I have state inspection due in less than a week.
For now I am leaving it alone and intend to wait and see.
I have previously mentioned the air inlet cowl is a bit faded for me. If and when I try to fix the problem, I might take them off and give them a flat black spray. [that would be another thread].

Instead of making a new thread figured i'd reply here. I have a P0330 code is there anything I should try first. I have heard replacing the gas cap? Also running 4 or 5 fuel injector cleaners through your gas tank? Also ant diagram for the knock 2 sensor maybe its just loose?

How long have you had the issue and have you reset the light and has it still come back?

Thanks for the welcome. I have read so much good info here already. The issue just came up on Saturday the same day I bought the car! It has gone on and off a couple times thats why i'm thinking they dont need to be replaced. Im replacing the gas cap and running some injector cleaner and resetting it today so we'll see.

I wouldn't want you to think of loose bolt on the knock sensor. Its an electronic unit, the bolt is just to keep it in place. The solution is to replace once you are sure of the symptoms.
Is your gear shifting to overdrive? if not, replace the two sensors and your car will be fine.

Did cancelling out the codes with the OBDII scanner return the ability to overdrive? Just curious. I'm sure the light comes back, but its nice to have a quick fix for a while.

Yes and so does disconnecting the battery.
