Here is the filter on mine, it is an HP-1002, which is used across several Lexus/Toyota products.

I just went to the toyota dealer to buy some parts. I paid $5.80 for each oil filter and $1.08 for each oil drain plug gasket

I always get a crush washer in the box with a new Toyota oil filter.

The local Toyota dealer even gives me a 10% discount.

Just a reminder...
ALWAYS look on the drain plug or the oil pan for the crush washer... You don't want to install a new crush wash over an existing one as this will guarantee leaks

Rotated the position of the horn in the engine bay and remove and re-install my toyota filters from the top and don't have to raise the car.

15 minute oil changes (not including another 10 minutes to let the engine cool down after draining or on the forearms)

I've been using K&N oil filters about 50K miles now. Main reason was for the 1" nut.

I've never used a gasket for the oil drain plug and have never had a problem with leaks.

Should/is the gasket use from factory/new? It didn't have one from new so I never questioned the need for one.

I reuse the gasket over and over again, not a single drop of oil leaked from the drain plug.

I got filters for my 01 RX300 at Toyota dealer for 3.99 each if buying 1 carton of 10 and they just throw bunch of gaskets for free. It's good idea to ask you never know :-) I replace gasket every oil change since it's free hehe.
