Has anyone used the product AlloyGator on RC-F wheels or have you used them at all? Do you have have an opinion on my question "Will they fit the 19” 20-spoke Wheel" ?
I did write the manufacture and they could not give me an answer about fitting and suggested contacting a US distributor which I did. They replied they "think" the product will work fine and they said the product is the best in the field.

In the product FAQ it says 'The “AlloyGator” alloy wheel rim protectors are not recommended for machine polished or diamond cut alloy wheels. Taking the above into account, we do still have many customers with machine polished wheels, that choose to use alloygators to protect their wheels.'

The RC-F wheels are HAND polished on the spoke chrome of course. I assume AlloyGator folks are concerned with the tire rubber to bead seating area but no one polishes that area or diamond cuts that area? I dont understand this restriction. Ideas?

I attached a my rough drawing of one RC-F spoke to the 2.5" rim (gray area) that I did on a AlloyGator's marketing image of color samples. This image includes a crop of one of the RC-F wheel spokes. See image called alloygator side view.jpg

I have reviewed other products and this seems to be the best for wheel curbing protection.
I am thinking to get the color black since the gray is not silver and the red ones would not really match the Infared RC-F that I am getting. Shipping and cost is about $104. Seems like cheap insurance for expensive wheels.

The black wouldn't look so bad if the tires were kept black and shiny. But if you curb a rim, what amount of force damages the rim anyway, i.e., is it truly just a waste of money?

I have had cars you could not stick your foot under, I guess if I curbed that it would be 5k+ and never had an issue, just don't talk on the phone and eat a bowl of oatmeal when you drive and watch the road.

I couldn't imagine putting those on a $$$ car like this, but mine are covered if i scratch them, curb'em or bend them, all i have to do is take it to them & they replace it with a new one unless it's not real bad & they can fix it!
