So lexus says the RCF only goes to 270km/h.
My bone stock RCF says otherwise... and was still pushing harder..
Sorry for the sideways pic, it's a screenshot from my go pro.

You should really use a calibrated GPS when doing this kinds of test, because every single car shows pretty wrong at those speeds. I have top speed tested every Lexus I had and the car can show about 20-30 km/h more at those speeds . The error gets bigger and bigger the faster you drive. My IS 250 was worst, it showed over 250 km/h on Autobahn, GPS said 228 km/h, which is about what Lexus claims.
This is of course not something just Lexus has. My Audis always stopped at around 265-270 when the 250 km/h ( GPS ) limit got in.

The smallest speedo error in a Lexus I have seen, was in the LFA which read 185 mph when it was at 180 mph.

What market/destination is this vehicle for? (noticing that you have the cluster in kph)
To my knowledge the speed limiter is still implemented in the same fashion as the IS-F, that is, based on engine RPM and transmission gear, rather than indicated vehicle speed. The Car and Driver test data seems to confirm this, with speed limiter kicking in at 6600rpm in 6th gear.
It would be interesting if your market has a different speed limiter setting, or if it is implemented differently. At 6400rpm in 6th gear, the indicated 280kph sounds just a tiny bit optimistic, real vehicle speed is probably around 170mph. While I wouldn't suggest it on a public road, if you have a local track you should see if you can get above 6600rpm. With the power and aerodynamics, drag limited top speed should be north of 300kph.
