Takeda Stage 2 CAI, oil when to clean
I was under the influence that you should clean it every 10k or less, but other products label it at 20-30k. But my understanding is that it depends on how/where you drive, and condition of your filter. Any rule of thumb to go by? thank you

I usually clean mine once per year, but more if you live in a area high a lot of blowing dust or heavy pollen.
Best way to clean it is a bucket of warm water and Dawn (dissolves the oil). Take filter off, put in a bucket of warm water with about 1 once of Dawn. Make sure the cone is facing down with the opening facing up. Leave in bucket for about 2 hours. Before taking filter out use a couple of paper towels to skim off the oil from the top of the water. Pull filter out and using a garden hose without the nozzle rinse off the filter. Place filter with the big opening on a flat surface and let it air dry, about 6 hours, and do not use compressed air to dry it faster.
When the filter is dry, lightly spray the oil on the filter, and then reinstall.
Go out and have fun.
