Default Black window trim options

Hi all! I have and UW F Sport and really want to blackout the chrome window surround. What's the consensus on Plasti-Dip vs wrap for this? The chrome is actually two separate pieces on each side. What's involved in the wrapping process? The chrome is in between rubber so I'm a bit dumbfounded on how one would go about wrapping it. Also, are both pieces on either side wrapped together under one large piece per side individually? Thanks!

I wouldnt Plasti dip it, wrapping it is your best option IMO. They basically wrap the window trim (the chrome part, and leave the weather stripping alone.) Lexus window trim isnt as easy to put on as BMW's per say since the window trim is flushed with the car.

The wrap should last a long time as long as you take care of it just like any other paint on your car. Also the removal is easy and leaves no residue.

Depending where you are located it should cost around 150-250 anymore than that is not worth it.

Some pictures for reference of my car.

Did you go with matte wrap, or glossy black?

I did gloss black on the window trim, roof, grill outline, did satin black on the lip and on the rear reflectors. I had the rear reflectors white but it looked off so went back and did them satin black to match those black swoosh things.

I did them gloss to match everything else, but if I did it again I might have just done the window trim satin to match the weather striping.

Pictures for reference on the reflectors.

Heres a picture of our red RC for reference to see the difference in the grills.

Quad exhaust. I had them on there for exactly 6 hours. Did a muffler delete. It droned too much for me in the cabin so I went back to stock... plus I honestly think the stock tips look better.

Thanks for the info. Looks great. Just wondering if you can tell me how the wrap was done on the window trim? Is it tucked under the rubber seals? Thanks!

No it wasn't tucked. The seals are flushed with the trim

Can you take a closeup pic? The chrome trim is actually two separate pieces. You can see where they meet above the window. Does your wrap go over the "split" as one piece or is it two separate pieces as well? I only ask bc one piece would probably show the separation underneath. Also, did your installer remove the chrome pieces before wrapping? Thanks a ton!
