streaming audio exhibits occasional skipping
With the new car, only on audio Bluetooth streaming of my downloaded tunes, I'm experiencing a momentary "skip" of sound (less than a second but still annoying) occurring 0-2 times per song. My phone is a 9 mos. old Samsung Note 4.
Anyone else experiencing this? I guess I can live with it, and suspect it's more the phone than the car to blame. But, if it's the car audio, especially with ML system, I would have expected better.

Didn't really see a convenience on my part, you still have to connect it and change mode on the dash, unless your bluetooth is on all the time on your phone, which drains the battery, didn't make anything faster/convenience for me, same thing with my friends. Plus it compresses the sound. Well to each his own.
Did you try it plugged and was it ok?

Bluetooth 4 uses VERY little battery when left in idle mode. Turning down the brightness on your screen by the smallest possible increment will more than compensate, and you will have the convenience of automatic connection.

Exactly. Once I try the corded method I'll report on it's performance.

I'm experiencing the same problem with bluetooth connection to my Samsung Note 2. I can be lucky & have a string of songs played without a hitch, but can also run into 1-2 short "skips" a song. It's not overly annoying but nevertheless something I can do without.
Bluetooth is convenient with automatic connection every time I get into the car & allows me to skip tracks using the buttons on wheels. On coaxial, one can only skip songs via the phone screen. On coaxial, I also need to double the volume level on RC (with phone volume at maximum) to get the same level of sound as bluetooth.
The easiest solution would be for Mark Levinson to offer FLAC/ALAC/APE playback through USB - not difficult to implement at price they charge & expected from a premium sound system.

I paired the Samsung Note 4 with my home Yamaha audio's Bluetooth, and no skipping. I think it's a car audio software issue, and will report it when the car goes in for it's 5000 mi. service.
