3is Fsport question.
I've noticed in Sewell the F Sport intake for the 3is 250 doesnt come with the lower box.
From my understanding the extra port on the lower box is what generates the sound.
Does anyone know if the intake sounds the same without the extra port and is it worth getting, or should i try aftermarket?

I don't believe the box generates the sound... but if you would like you can drill some holes in the lower box....
I actually did this because when I bought the intake it was for the 13' model and had to be modified a little bit... Sounds pretty good and with the F sport you keep your warranty

I have the F Sport Intake and it comes with the filter (probably K&N) by the looks of it, metal pipe and the top of the box only. No bottom of the box. I have seen different pictures online about the box and i'm not sure what's the diff. I for one, don't mind not hearing the sound generator.

On my 350 (which was factory equipped with a sound generator), I think it is quieter than stock. I do think I notice slightly improved throttle response, but I've been thinking about swapping back to the paper filter just to feel the difference.
