for all of these supercharger and turbo setups I can't seem to find anything fully reliable... and that makes me sad! and spending $5,000 for 100 hp to me sounds outrageous. i love speed and power but dang... I guess i'll keep my gs400 with the stock 1uz and stock brakes. i have an intake and true dual exhaust with the cats removed and the thing is quick enough and sounds mean. I would say i'm more of a slow and low guy and a bass head. all the engine mods seem to be a pita jmo

Are you serious? you cant find anything reliable? what does this even mean?
What makes me sad is clowns think they can gain 100hp with bolt ons.
Intake and (True)?? exhaust... all others are fake?
You obviously haven't been on anything more than a stock gs4..
BTW 5k for a Turbo kit or SC kit is the norm, which in most cases is plug and play with engine management.
Show and slow has never been my thing, in NY if you gotta have both...

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to add from experience about the knock sensor issues. when I was running my turbo setup on my 430, I also begun having knock sensor codes and thought it was stemming from bad tune or preignition going haywire. I refused to believe it was the knock sensors since non of it starting happening until I put the turbo on. but finally wound up replacing the knock sensors and problem solved. than wound up putting down 453 rear wheel horsepower and no more knock sensor codes. I guess they aged and couldn't handle the added power but new ones from lexus dealer resolved it. btw. do not buy cheap aftermarket ones. I chased my tail for two weeks before I realized it was the after market knock sensors. that's when I went o.e.
