Question Does an JDM exhaust fit the US IS300?

One of my friends want to buy an Altezza /JDM spec exhaust. I know that this exhaust also will fit on the 3.0L Altezza, it will fit any JDM Altezza, regardless the engine size. I also know that it will fit the UK/European IS300.

But ... will it fit on the US-spec IS300? Any modification required?
Any differences between the JDM Altezza/European IS300 and US IS300 regarding the exhaust?
Perhaps the US rear bumper is longer?

If your friend wants to buy a JDM Altezza exhaust, you have to look at 2 things. 1) The USDM bumpers are longer than their JDM counterparts so the tip will not work flush with the bumper..it will actually be more inward which is not what you want. 2) JDM Altezza exhausts are tuned for the 4cyl 3S-GE not the 6cyl 2JZ-GE. There is no Euro version of the IS300...it's the IS200 there a 2.0L I6. All in all, the bumpers there are the shorter JDM version. Fittment yes, but for heat coming out the exhaust, no.

yeah the tip could be a bad situation. sometimes that could melt the paint on the bumper coz' the tips are more inward now

ummm, i think you're right. some guy on .NET was talking about how expensive they are in switzerland or something...converted over to the US dollar, it was at least $10k more than here?

EDIT: my bad, i completely neglected the orig question. the JDM exhausts will burn your bumper since the tip won't stick out far enough...

Australia has the IS300, BUT uses the shorter JDM bumpers.
