Default Figured out the oil leak/blowby issue....

So I finally pull the whole engine apart. I pull the crank off, and one of the cylinders just falls out. Odd, there should be enough drag from the rings to hold it in.

I pick it up and look at it. I don't see rings on it. I look around a little on the ground to see how they fell off, and notice...that it's just that HALF the rings are missing off the piston.

Ouch. Explains the oil leak the car had.

Note to everyone here. 18.375psi + 10:1 compression + nitrous = bad. Yes I knew this already, but I just have to stretch the limits. Wait until I start pushing 30psi at this thing now...lol

Hey guys... what's going on here? On this one thread, we've got 90% of the FI knowledge, and it's turned a little ugly. *Please* don't turn this forum into what's happened on is300.net. People over here are *way* to cool.

Steven was nice enough to post why his engine died (which BTW most would not), and he let us know what the limit is. Stuff like this is kinda like life... I've never known anyone who improved themself by always being successful. It's through mistakes that we learn the most.

If you have personal issues, *please* take it to pm's.

P.S. Shoot I could list about 2 pages of mistakes I made on my car. In fact, that maybe a good thread to start.

Good point Scott, i've edited myself, but we did not need Wiz to tell us not to run 18+ pounds and juice on stock compression/stock block, common sense would have taken care of that.

True... but we know what the limit is none-the-less.

No. No way. Not on pump gas. You might get away with that for a little bit, but I'd never spray on pump gas. Way to much cylinder pressure for 93 octane.

As far as doing this on 10:1 Compression Stephen. You didnt sctrech the limits, you tore them, chopped them up with a machete, ran them through a food processor, and sold them on 6th street with sourkraught, mustard, and a bun! But hey, at least you aint scared!
