what type of oil leak is this?
i noticed oil on my driveway, i took it to the mechanic and he said there were no leaks. but today, once i got home i saw this leak, it only happens while i drive and a little bit after i stop but it doesn't leak overnight. oh the car is a 1999 lexus rx300.
appreciated if anyone could help.

From the color it seems like an oil leak (seepage to be more precise). Most likely it is from a gasket a bit higher up. Take it back to the same mechanic or a different one to have it traced. At times living with a small seepage is better than getting it fixed, but still have it traced.

One of the things that can be used is something like Lubro Moly Motor Oil Saver (which is available at Napa), but there are also products from Bar's (available at most auto parts stores) that can be added to oil to help seal up such leaks. Auto-RX is another product to try should one of the first two not do the trick.

just to update: i've tried both products and it didn't solve the leak. it's a small leak so i'm just living with it now. but others have had success with autorx though.

Funyunz- Do you still have the Auto RX in there ? If so, give it time to work. If you saw how rock hard that seal gets, you'd understand that it won't happen overnight- it's terrific stuff but it doesn't have a magic wand.
I would give it a couple oil changes with the Auto RX before I went to heavier oil to try and solve the problem.
