Default Another Idle Issue

I replaced my spark plugs and when finished, my idle was 1000 rpm over normal. I have hunted and hunted and all vac lines are on and good. I can't find a leak anywhere. I then noticed that the rpm's are good (500 rpm) when i start the car but when i touch the accelerator and start moving, after release, the rpm's are 1000 too high. Another clue is that I can hold the brake, slowly release the clutch to the point that the car is near stall (200rpm) and release the clutch, the rpms will drop to normal idle until I hit the accelerator again. Any ides?

Any chance you bumped or otherwise displaced the throttle cable from where it was set? It sounds sort of like the throttle plate is being held open at idle, but that wouldn't explain why it's initially fine at start-up.

And I can bring it back to normal by almost stalling the engine as well.
